Buzz on my G1 is just plain ugly, so I have been using it through GMail. Even that, though is not what I am looking for, and it is definitely not a Twitter replacement. So, I have been looking for alternatives. Right now, I am checking out Google Buzz Desktop. The interface is very similar to any of the Android phones, but it seems to do an excellent job of formatting so that it is easy to navigate between Buzzes and Followers. I have only been playing with it for a short amount of time, so the jury is still out, but if you are like me and still running Android 1.6, then this may be worth checking out.
You can get it here.

I will continue to check this one out, and will post again with more information about this application, and I will still continue to look at others as they become available. Of course, once T Mobile finally decides to roll out the 2.0.1 update then no one this will be necessary, but until then, I will continue to look for other options.
Feel free to let me know if you have found something.

I still haven’t found much use for Google Buzz or Wave. It just adds more work to already having check and maintain Twitter, Facebook & MySpace (yikkkes)!. Why use Buzz when half your friends dont have GMail accounts?
Seems to me that Google rush out Buzz and Wave without defining these products. They added basic functionality and hope users will find some sort of use for them. I haven’t, yet.

I agree with Brent for all of the same reasons. Also, when I followed one of the tech magazines, I had so many buzzes that I couldn’t find my emails. I’d rather just stick to the sites, (Facebook and Twitter), that I already use.
