Hulu is BACK, well sort of…

Hulu is back on Android 2.2, well kind of. The application developers at AndroidNetwork have released an app called Hulu Bookmark. This app allows you to watch Hulu content on your Froyo device with flash, for now at least. The app has some disadvantages though. It is difficult to stop the content you are viewing and when you leave the app the video continues to play. There is also no way for you to go to full screen mode. All in all Hulu Bookmark does the trick! The app costs $1.50 and is available in the android market. In my opinion it is worth it! This will only work on devices running android 2.2 with flash 10.1 installed.

we're working on a fix. I've tried several different user agents, i've tried using it over wifi, and still no luck. I'm trying to figure out what exactly hulu is using to block android phones. Maybe it's checking what the OS the flash plugin is intended for? Later tonight I'm going to try setting up some proxy and socks servers through the app to make the app the simplest and only hulu solution on android.

I was gonna say if you have used it & it worked then was blocked chances are (as with many developers) you will not get a refund as it worked as stated & you got use from it, if you buy it & it blocks within 24hours you have the refund but after that I don't know how androidnetwork will go about providing a refund.

I am still on 2.1 so I can't say I know if its working myself but read the market comments & ask a few nexus owners, past experience for me with AndroidNetwork has been only but smooth so I trust them but again I haven't tried the app hands on & at this stage until I get the 2.2 SDK I won't be able to…fairly
