It was always know that Verizon was getting the Nexus One. As replied above, my efforts were to determine the rumor of it being later this month and of training. I did enjoy talking to some reps that did not have any clue about android phones though. Thanks for the feedback, it is always appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback. I was looking mostly to see if the rumors were true that it would be later this month and that the staff was being trained on it. It is well known as that the Nexus One will be going to Verizon. As matter of fact, I reported this http://www.absolutelyandroid.com/nexus-one-gett... earlier this year.
It was confirmed a day or so after this posting that the Nexus One would not be sold in the stores.

that's funny…considering that if you go to the nexus one's website it says at the bottom of the page “coming to verizon spring 2010″ So…hope you had fun with all that run around =O

Why don't you try calling a few out of the area Vzw stores (for reasearch) in other large metro areas such as NYC, LA, SF (especially, Silicon Valley!), etc to see if they know anything about the N1 coming to stores or if they REALLY think the Eris is the same (what a knee slapper!) for a further update? Would be prettyyy cool.
